Mai Kobayashi is a Japanese mulch artist. I fascination with color began while working for a Japanese cosmetic company, followed by a position at a photo studio. While living in Tokyo, I was inspired by the neon-lit streets. I was also influenced by the Los Angels artists she met in her travels to the United States. As a woman, Mai wishes for all women to have the option to live beyond traditional gender roles.
After a series of recent changes to my life, my new creative focus combines fantasy elements with real world issues, expressing her imagination through her art. Her choice of color and aesthetic is influenced by the traditional art and drawing techniques of Japan.
I painting my art and realized that I was finding my origin and roots. I am painting along my roots to reincarnate. Gifts from all the universe, and why I paint, who I am, it express myself through painting.
I walked under the teachings of the Buddha and expressed what I felt in my life. Also currently, I am active as a sewing and jewelry designer.
